in 1954 Art Funk began with a simple idea for making his Farmer
Sausage. Taking the family recipe and using only the finest
quality ingredients, Art made his sausage in small batches and
smoked them overnight in the old fashioned tradition using real wood
chips and fire. The result is a very tasteful smoked sausage
renowned for it's quality and flavor. Today "Funk's Sausage"
brings to mind not only Farmer Sausage but also Liver Sausage, Deli
Meats, Hams, Bacon and more. All are produced at the family
grocery store in Abbotsford, BC with the same care and attention to
quality Art started in 1954. The only thing that's changed
since then is the Funk's reputation for fine sausage has grown.
